Login error 81003004 from Yahoo Messenger... tried the fix found online and it didn't work.......decided to uninstall.........then do a reinstall and now it tells me that i DO NOT have XP on my computer and i do!!! I have an upgraded version from windows 2000 and regardless of your programing.........as far as i'm concerned......i have XP!! Please Fix This NOW!!

Try to uninstall the anti virus software from your PC then instal the yahoo messengar and install the anti virus back on

    This error code is displayed if the registry entry has some invalid entry
    Go to start > Run > "regedit"
    try deleting the reg key:
    "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Yahoo\pager" and exit messenger and login

if you are running windows vista
first make sure that u have the most current messenger
you might need to uninstall the antivirus program I.E mcaffee i had to to this to mine yesterday on my brand new dell i had the same error code after uninstallation i was able to get into messenger ok i would suggest using avast anti virus it is more compatable with vista

Change your messenger connection settings. I had to check "Connect via a proxy server " in order to sing in.
Goto Connection  Prefrences and use a http proxy.

Are you behind a firewall (like one in schools) or using proxy??

If so, see any options are available to change the connection settings in yahoo messenger before connecting.

Go open Internet Explorer and go in the File menu and uncheck at the bottom the Work Offline option. Then go to a site using IE. Close IE. Open Yahoo Messenger and log in.
