Before you take it in for repair, try installing and running the Philips Device Manager from the product CD.

Press and hold the VOL+ button whilst connecting to the PC.
Normally, the Device Manager will start up and go into repair mode.

Having bought an I dice docking station from Comet the connector on the left hand side of the dock where you dock the I pod is down instead of up. Is there anything I can replace it with or anyway of

I'd go back to Comet and if they said it was compatable when you bought it, make them show you how...otherwise it's false advertising. I sure hope you have a warantee or trial period to do this!

My i pod touch is blank, i've followed the relevant stepr to restore it. after which an error code was given on i-tunes, i followed the steps given for the error but my i pod is still doing...

Try this:
Hold down the middle button (home button), the power button, and the volume DOWN button (make SURE that it's not the up one. It won't do anything, but it won't fix your iPod. Only the Down button will.).

Hold all of these down until the Apple sign shows up. Once the Apple sign shows up, it SHOULD work.
I hope this helps!

I put it in a i-pod dock and it didn't work. Was it fried? Thanks, Iuliu

The Sansa is not compatible with the iPod. If you plugged the Sansa into something intended for an iPod, it's quite possible you have fried something.

Won't restore and scroll has frozen

Thank you for using Fixya, your Nano at this point may need to under go a reset.

To do that slide the Hold switch to HOLD and back again. Then press the
Menu and Center buttons at the same time for about 6 seconds,
until the Apple logo appears.

For more information, please refer to this Apple link. IF you have other questions please let me know.

Still says it's docked even though it isn't

Possible firmware upgrade issue.
Reset first - located on side of player. If that fails, Creative actually has a step by step tool you can use at:

Unknown device.

What do you mean by "the hold button wouldn't go off"? Was the orange light still on? Either way, you should try restarting your iPod if you haven't done so already.

MP3 player will only turn on, wont play songs.

If your Zen is dead, wont respond to anything, try this, plug it in to the computer, hold the power switch in the on position, THEN take the battery out and put back in, worked like a charm for mine, I had thought it a lost cause."
