Which burning software are you using?
Nero has a under the EXTRAS tab, control drive speed.

Or are you talking about media player burning to disk?

I've always had a problem with Roxio.

I prefer Nero. If you need a copy I can e-mail it to you.

How do I get more bandwith so I can watch videos without them stoping and starting.

First i will ask who is your internet provider? Do you know the speed of the internet you got? Remember 1Mbs or lower is bad for playing videos. I would ask your internet provider to up your speeds to 3Mbs but no lower.

How to stop the vibration in my laptop while playing games

There are 3 possible cluprets for vibration in laptops
the fan the cd drive the hard drive
If your issue is coming from the fan assuming it's not damaged often there will be settings to adjust the fan speed as you lower this it will reduce the vibrations.
The cd drive would be your hardest to fix issue if you are using the cd to play the games. better drives do have less movement and possibly a usb connected drive tho bulky could be a solution for you.
A hard drive that vibrates enough to bother is very likely to go bad soon. If this is where the issue is replace as soon as possible. there are now solid state drives that have no vibration.

the best way is to upgrade ur PC , or format your harddisk or apply this settings as follows ===
Speed Up Windows 7 Boot Up Time Don't Try This To Make Windows 7 Faster:
Try ReadyBoost:
  • 1. Speed Up Windows 7 Using ReadyBoost
  • 2. Check ReadyBoost
  • 3. Speed test your SD Card, CF Card, Flash Drive, HDD
Speed Up Windows 7 BootUpdate 04/21: This tweak does not seem to have great effects on your boot time. Instead use a startup programs manager for Windows 7 and remove as many startup programs as you possibly can.
Do you have a dual-core or quad-core processor? Great, let's lower the boot time of Windows 7:
1. Click on Start, enter "msconfig" into the search field
2. Open the "boot" tab
3. Click on Advanced
4. Check "Number of proccessors" and select "2′ or "4′ from the dropdown menu. (obviously, you can only select it if you have a dual-core/quad-core).

I recently added 2 sticks of 1 Gb Ram to my desktop, to now have a total of 4 1 Gb sticks. This newly added memory is PC2 @ 5300Mhz speed. The older 2 sticks of 1 Gb memory are PC 2 @ 6400 speed,...

It depends on what you would like the end result to be. If you need to multi-task, and have 10 windows running at once, go with the 4GB @ 5300 because while it might take a little longer your computer will still be able to handle all the information. However if you are just using it for light browsing and would prefer speed over bulk (when it comes to data processing) go with the 2 @ 6400. I don't think it would be worth it to get 2 more @ 6400, technology is advancing so fast. If you have 60 bucks you can upgrade to two 4GB @ 10600 (8GB total for $60) 1333MHz PC3. Lookup Corsair XMS3 4GB RAM.

Running to slow trying to take stuff off

Removing programs or documents or pictures will give you room on your hard drive. What you need to do is run defrag on your computer to get your files back together again and this will help get your speed back up again. To do this just click start (lower left hand corner of your screen)Then go to Accessories and click on that. Then go to system tools and click on that. First use disk clean up when that completes then go back and use disk defragmentor. This should get your computer speed back up again.

I hope this helps you out.

You can upgrade a PC but in my experience it is far better and is more cost effective to purchase a faster PC. Here is what you do, save all your personal important information from it's hard drive onto a USB flash drive. Now sell this computer and then using the money that you would have used to upgrade it buy a new computer.

You don't want to go lower than a single core 2.4GHz with 512mb RAM. However I do reccomend an AMD computer system. See if you can afford an Athlon 2 X2 250/255 they are very good and don't cost very much. Of course you will need to purchase new components, either from a local computer shop or on the net.

If you want to try to increase the speed of your current PC then you will need to upgrade the RAM to at least 512mb, make sure it is DDR400. The next thing to upgrade is the CPU, I think it is socket 478 so it might fit a 2.4GHz socket 478 CPU must check CPU and mainboard is the same socket or it will not work.

Location of USB Root Hub

Hi dottyo,

Generally the front USB ports on a computer are USB version 1.1, good for USB keyboard and mouse or printer.

But, almost always the USB ports on the back of the pc are USB version 2.0 which is what you are looking for. Try any ports on the back of the pc case.

Hope that helps!
