Error 1201; Carrier stall; Printer stopped
The definition corresponding to this error message is this: "The print carrier stopped before all of the data was used." To resolve this issue, please do the following:
Power the printer off.
Remove all cables from the back of the printer.
Reinsert the power cord.
Switch the printer back on.
Check the operator panel to see if the 1201 error message is displayed.
If the error message returns, the printer could be defective. Contact Lexmark Customer Support for further troubleshooting and warranty options.
Hello, erorr 1203 is telling you there is one of a few issues with your cartridge/s. Check the contacts are cleaned and printheads. Make sure there are no paper jams. Reset the printer by turning it off and completely unplugging it and replugging it and turn it back on again. Clear print queue, check it is set to work offline in settings. Press copy and copy something and see if it is ok now. Error 1201 is a communication issue with data where your cartridge has stoped for one or more reasons and h eprint data was not completed or used. Try the reset to fix this too. Post back if no good. Don't forget to clear print queue.
I've seen this before and I know that once it was fixed by cycling the power a certain way. Try this:
1) Turn the printer off. 2) Unplug all of the cables. 3) Plug the power cable back in. 4) Turn the printer back on. 5) If the 1201 message on the Control Panel comes back up, try plugging the printer directly into the wall or into a different power strip. If no error message, plug the USB cable back into the printer and try printing.
It could also be a faulty AC adapter - if you have access to another compatible AC adapter try that. If the message continues, then the printer is probably defective and you should check your warranty status.
