Dear sewer:
The only way I have found is to take the pocket off the shirt and re-sew it after you have finished embroidering it. Notrub

I'm confused about how to sew the pocket to the upper side front confusing, pictures don't help, not clear

Sorry, we can't help since we don't have any pictures or instructions for your pattern. Perhaps searching the internet for now to sew on patch pockets will yield some assistance. Or look for a basic sewing manual at the local library.

Why won' t my needle go up and down on bernina170

Sounds like a thread jam in your bobbin area probably from the thread getting caught. Once you find the caught thread you'll need to give it all a bit of a clean and oil here's an aritcle that might help. http://ginascraftcorner.blogspot.com/2014/09/love-your-machine-and-it-will-love-you.html

How do you start embroidering a design where the thread breaks on a Bernina Artista 180 sewing/embroidery machine?

Most machines have a stitch counter, stitch forward and step back features. Check your manual and embroidery machine's screens for this.

IN case you have misplaced your manual I found this one for you. It's big so allow time to download.

The top thread on my Janome 300E is getting caught in the bobbin. It starts bunching up on the back of the fabric that I am trying to embroider and it gets stuck. When I pull it off all the top thread is...

If your thread is getting caught underneath it's usually the UPPER thread is threaded wrong or not correctly through the tension discs. This can also happen if you're using Sticky Back stabilizer. Make sure you have a new needle in case there's a burr on the old one which can also cause this problem.

I HAVE A BROTHER ULT2003D SEWING/EMBRODERY MACHINE IT CAME WITH NO MANNUAL IM ABOUT TO EMB. A 100% POLYESTER SHIRT AND DONT NO WHAT TENTION TO SET IT ON THANK YOU C.C.

I would try embroidering on a scrap of like material to get the tension you want. My Brother (different model) manual doesn't say any specific tension setting for embroidering but just says to set the tension right for the fabric to be worked. If the fabric is stretchy, I suggest using a little looser tension than say cotton, just make sure it doesn't pucker the fabric.

Thread get's tangled and attached to plate while embroidering

Just a thought. Is it possible that your thread is wrapping around your spool post or snagging on your thread spool?

Brother SE-270D embroidery question

No it is not possible. If you invent a hoop to do this you will become richer than Bill Gates. When you want to do embroidery on a pocket, you have to remove the pocket first, do the embroidery and stitch the pocketback onto the shirt.

Sad but true.
