Re: Unable To Reinstall LifeCam software
You should uninstall through the control panel, add/remove programs really. As you dont seem to have done that, make sure you have unplugged your camera as it may still be using the file you want to remove. There are lots of other ways of doing it but much riskier to your system. You need to try this first. If you are happy to do it you can do it in safe mode. Press F5 or F8 when booting your pc until you get the option to boot into safe mode. This loads the basic amount of drivers to get you going and will allow you to remove any extra files. Be careful you dont remove anything that may make your system unstable. Files are often used for multiple purposes.

If you are able to hear audio with a music CD or any other application, then you must un-install the software for the camera, reboot and then reinstall.
If you are unable to hear any sound, then your audio driver may have been knocked out by the camera installation. To reinstall, go to manufacturer of computer's website, click on support, enter model number and choose operating system. The page that follows will allow you to download, free, the audio driver. Restart the computer and see if this helps.

Did you use the CD software program that came with the camera?
Try disconnecting the Camera from the USB port and reinstall
the software program. When the program asks you to connect the
camera to the USB port, do so and it should work.
Hope this helps. Bud
