Question about Kitchen Appliances - Others
Eight years old, never used and now will not turn on. It appears that the reset button is loose or not functioning, can a new one be obtained? If so, where. Thanks< Ian Col.
I removed the reset switch and was able to disassemble it by removing the two screws holding it together. I then removed the rocker spring and retensioned it by bending it and cleaned the contacting surfaces. This made it contact properly and lo the chips are frying tonight! The only thing irritating besides the fact that a new appliance is not even tested before being offered for sale was that I had to grind down a screwdriver and notch it in the middle of the blade in order to remove the 'security screws' which held the control unit together. A little more care by the manufacturer and a little less 'security' would be apreciated.
