Where is the fuel filter located on my 2004 Chevy Trail Blazer? WE

There is not a fuel cut off switch for a 2004 Trailblazer. Have your fuel pump relay checked, if it is good I would look at having your pump tested.

Under the drivers side by the fuel filter.

Fuel filter is located just in front of the tank, on driver's side.

Typically it is a 255/65R/17 or 255/70R/17

The fuel filter is on the drivers side frame rail and is a high pressure system, so you should attempt to depressurize it. Take the fuel cap off. Pull fuse for the fuel pump. Start engine, let engine die. There will still be a little pressure in the line and certainly fuel in the filter and line. I had to remove the skid plate to get to the filter, there was a hand hole, but not for my hand to work in effectively. The clips are real easy to remove with some pliers. Use a towel or rag to remove the fuel lines and protect your self from the fuel. If your new filter doesnt have the little plastic doo-hickies (technical term) on the nozzles you will need to get them off of the old on, just pull them off gently, dont break them. Put the fuel lines back on noting the flow arrow on the filter. Replace holding strap and skid plates as applicable. Replace fuel cap and fuse. Start engine, let idle a minute or so. Drive around the block a time or two and enjoy. Repeat procedure every 30,000 miles (I think that is the manual periodicity).

Fuel could be an issue, although it is not that common on these. You should check for a restricted fuel filter first before changing pump.

It is located on top of the valve cover. Buy the new one and you will see what it looks like, then you will pull the hose off of it and put the new one on, 5-minutes at top to do this job.

If you haven't bought the part yet and are planning on replacing it ...i'd go to the auto parts store and ask them for the part location. They are usually glad to do this. I know Advanced Auto Parts does this for me.

Their on the frame rail, passenger side, midways. I just changed one on an envoy two weeks ago, which is basically the same type of vehicle.
