Question about Dell 924 All-in-One InkJet Printer
What does this mean?! It is a Dell brand color cartridge that worked okay until one day this message appeared on the LCD display: "right cartridge is incorrect". It is NOT incorrect. I had refilled the cartridge (only first or second time) and it worked fine for several days until this display came up. I assume it means that for some reason the sensor is not identifying the cartridge but I cannot clear the message by power cycling, removing the power supply for several seconds, cleaning the cartridge and carrier, wicking the cartridge, etc. It will not allow me to copy, print, or even perform any maintenace functions such as 'cartridge align, cleaning, test pg', etc. Can't even print in b&w with the black cartridge on the left. Help! I need to print stuff asap and local Office Depot doesn't sell Dell cartridges (of course!). Thank you!
if you are getting the error msg 12203 , pperform the following steps,
remove both the cartridges from the printer and unplug the power adapter ( black box) from the back panel of the printer, clean the cartridges using a damp cloth .
initially put only the black cartridge and then turn on the system , it will give you the error msg right cartridge missing, you can ignore it and try copying a document .
remove the black cartridge and put the color one in, and then try printing.
during the printing with any of the cartridge inside the printer if it gives out the error msg 1203 then that cartridge has to be replaced...

I had the same problem, all I did is try a million times removing the cartridge and putting it back in while unplugging the unit!! waste of time. I eventually cleaned inside the printer where the cartridge goes with an wet cloth for electronics, on the flat and underneath inside where the cartridge goes as best you can there is not much room but get as much under as you can. this is the area where the grid is that recognizes the cartridge. replace cartridge and it was working perfect.

HI,I CHANGED MY CARTRIDGES ONCE BEFORE.I USED AN OFF BRAND BUT THEY WERE FIND EXCEPT FOR THE MESAGE I WAS OUT OF INK. NOW WHEN I TRY TO REPLACE THA COLOR CARTRIDGE IT WONT TRAVEL TO THE CENTER .HELP

What I have tried and had success with is to take both color and black cartridges out and power the 924 down and when you power it back up place both cartridges back in and you should be okay.

Simple during the refill process of after ur catridge got damaged and now the machine can't recognise it, or maybe u where given a different one after refill.
