Question about Brother IntelliFAX 4100 Laser Fax

Intellifax 4100 The date and time was incorrect on our fax machine, so I changed it . Now whenever we try and fax out, it comes back with a busy signal. It is receiving faxes just fine. We don't have the manual and no one seems to know how to fix it. Can you please help?

The date and time are set up under general set up. Under that menu there is also TONE/PULSE dial mode setting if you have accidently changed this to pulse it will cause issue. Change it to tone if you have and this will resolve the problem. Pulse is the old style phone system.

Fax machine, Brother IntelliFAX 4100e, is out of memory, what do I do?


unplug machine, hold "stop/exit" button down while plugging machine back in. continue holding button down for minimum 5 seconds, then release and see if display returns to date/time. if so your good to go.

Keeps time incorrectly


that's unfortunate, but there's no fix for that.

Can send but busy when try to recieve intellifax 4100


unplug, hold down the "stop/clear" key, and while holding button down, plug in fax and hold button for 5 secs. release button and you should see the normal date/time screen. try receiving now.

BROTHER INTELLIFAX 4100


When we set the time on our fax it doesnt save the correct time, we set the time and it only stays for about a couple of days and it changes. Do you have any ideas for a solution.

Printer busy


sounds like the faxes are stuck in memory
look in the Troubleshooting section of the manual

Says Printing & Online Stuck


when this happens, unplug machine, hold down the "stop/exit" key while plugging machine in. continue holding the stop/exit key for 5 seconds. display should return to the regular date and time screen. if it doesn't, contact brother customer support. this problem is caused by a fax stuck in memory.
