Graphic resolution problem

I have an Intel 845 GL chipset board, but I am unable to get a good resolution for a newly purchased new TFT monitor of 19" (Samsung SyncMaster 920NW) while the resolution on my previous monitor was too good, as it was showing all true colors, high colors etc option on the display monitor + setting, but was unable to show on my new monitor.

Please tell me how can I solve my problem......and mail m, so I can get rid of this problem

Please install the software that comes with your new monitor. And try adjusting the correct resolution from the monitor buttons / as well as from your Windows operating sysytem to suite your monitor.

You are needed to re-install chipset(845) driver. IVE had the same problem and installing the mainboard drivers will fix your display problems. Would suggest you make a backup of the download for future use as Intel may not carry the drivers in their archives forever. The link below is for support and downloads from Intell for PC.

Resolution problem not more than 32bit. i need more resolution.

You have not install the correct onboard Graphic Card driver for your Mainboard, so you currently are running on Generic Graphic drivers and you have a low resolution.

From the specifications of your Mainboard, assumption that you are using WinXP or W2K OS.

You can download and install the "Intel® Extreme Graphics Driver for 845 Chipset-Based Intel Desktop Boards" to your system.

Hope it helps.

I have pentium 4 processor & 845 GZD chipset from last one month my LCD 19 is not displaying with this board but 15 TFT monitor is OK with that so can i know how to solve this

most likely the monitor receives a signal/resolution it can't accept. Try to boot in the BIOS - if it's the same then the monitor itself is defective and you must take it to be repaired.

Intel 845 GL mother board no display ;processor memory & SMPS are working fine in another mother board

Does it have any beep sounds on switching on( some computers won't produce beep sound) or does your monitor is not getting any signals from computer even though it is ON and has shown any message or menu screen of Monitor functions then,
You will be having a faulty RAM or your Graphic port has some hardware malfunction.Or it can be also from a new unsupported hardware installation that will prevent computer from booting up.

If your monitor does not provide any of the above monitor functions successfully then
It would be a monitor problem. Check wires or cables of monitors or contact nearby technical support

Hi i want graphic card for mercury motherboard intel chipset VGN 845 GL

Geoforce FX 5500 works well in this board. Make sure you buy the proper card. AGP if your board has an AGP slot or PCI-E if your board has the PCI-E slot. Hope this helps.

1440x900 resolution required

check and make sure that you are using the Intel drivers and not the default windows xp drivers. The default drivers are very limited and only offer a few different resolutions to choose from.

Ram support for intel 845 motherboard

Ok. So you've defined the Intel 845 chipset on your motherboard.

But is it the 845 or 845G chipset?

Click HERE for the specifications of the Intel 845 chipset.

Click HERE for the specifications of the Intel 845G chipset.

Peepnklown is only HALF right.

The Intel 845 chipset does NOT support PC133 memory.

The Intel 845G chipset DOES support both DDR and PC133 memory.

The difference?

The 845 has a single memory controller for DDR memory.

The 845G has two memory controllers. One for DDR and one for PC133.

Although you're going to need DDR memory as it is FASTER and less expensive than the older PC133 memory. (Believe it or not.)

I do NOT recommend using Corsair's ValuSelect memory on this chipset. I have two boards with the 845G chipset and that type of memory does not allow the board to boot.

These boards typically come with DDR266 (PC2100) modules installed.

I would go ahead and buy DDR333 (PC2700) memory for it. The board you have may not utilize the full speed of that memory, but will use tighter memory timings if the RAM is clocked down by the board. This will result in better efficiency of memory use by the processor.

Think of it as giving the motherboard "breathing room".

I could recommend PNY memory for the most basic compatability. (Not that they manufacture their own RAM modules...) Or perhaps Nanya, Infineon or Microtek.

Look for memory compatability lists for your particular motherboard module online. You could also use PNY's memory configurator on their website.

Click HERE for PNY's memory configurator.

Good luck.
