I have Neptune 6700 and it displays error code E5. The E is missing the top line. Why won't it start?

E5 isn't a draining issue, that's 5E.
E5 indicates a fault in the temperature sensing circuit.
This can be the temperature sensor in the heater, the wiring, the main control board or a combination of them.
Unplug the appliance.
Take the rear panel off.
Check the wiring to the heater and the sensor in it.
If ok, you may want to try a new sensor, see if it cures the fault.

The e5 error can be for a no or prolonged fill. So does your washer fill with any water at all
if not, I would start by turning the water supply off to the machine then disconnecting them from the water valve of the washer. then place them into a bucket and turn the water supply back on.
make sure there are no kinked water hoses

Why my washing machine alway show E5?

You may get better help if you care to provide some details about your machine, such as the brand name and the exact model number.
Different manufacturers have different meanings for error codes.
For example, E5 on some brand could mean the water heater of the machine is not functioning, but on another brand it could mean that the debris filter is clogged!

Showing error E5

E5 is error code 5.
It means the water is not filling correctly (or the sensors are not noticing the fill correctly). Make sure the water supply is on and hoses are not kinked. If all water supply is ok, then the valve(s) may be bad. They are expensive so best checked and replaced by a technician.

It may be programmed for a water softener in the rinse, but doesn't have a dispenser. So it wants you to add it.
