Well, click on start >> go to programs >> go to accessories >> click on Run. type msconfig and press enter. at the top click on start up tab and click disable all. than go through the list and check the box for synaptics and wireless and click apply. Select restart later.
go to run again and type prefetch and then click OK. Select all the files and delete them
go to run again and type %temp%, select all the files and delete them all.
Note : if you fail to delete any file then leave that particular file and delete the rest.
at last restart your computer and check.
If it is when starting the comupter then you may have attached any hardware which is not compatible with the computer. So, remove any external devices or recently attached devices.
If the computer stops responding after you enter the user ID and password, then it is due to another program which is blocking the functionality of the computer. You can perform a clean boot to resolve this issue.
