Hey..that's a good configuration model Lappy. As this model with AMD processor, there is no restriction for installing Windows XP in it. However, you need to have drivers for the devices which you use. Mostly all the drivers will be prompted by Windows updates, so you will not find much difficulty in it.
any help just ping back..

How do i change the language from spanish to english on a hp pavillon dv6000

Go into the Control Panel and look for Clock,Language and Regional settings. You should be able to do it from there. I assume that the version of Windows is either Vista or Win7.

I have e Hp pavillon dv5 1042ez, but I can't

There might be a problem with your network card if you can't see the lan driver and there is no unknown driver in the device manager. Are you sure you have tried to install the right driver? This link is to directly download the lan driver for your laptop:

Have both xp and vista on one machine. want to transfer the xp conent to the vista side and then delete the xp. How can I do this?

Boot to Vista, browse and copy files you want (you will need to take ownership of the files) or boot to XP and copy the data to an external USB drive, then boot to Vista and copy it back.

Then you can edit the Boot manager *I like Vista Boot Pro, easy graphic tool) to remove the boot references for XP, then you can delete the XP data at your leasure

How want to downgrade win vista to xp pro hp compaq v3000

If you have a Windows XP Pro installation disk, put it in the optical drive, restart your computer, on startup, go to BIOS settings (usually press [Delete] and set the optical drive as first boot device. Save changes and exit. When the computer starts it usually says to press any key to start from CD. Press any key and the windows installation will start. Make sure you format C: and you will downgrade to Windows XP Pro. If you want to upgrade to Vista again, you will need to know the keyboard sequence to start Vista from Its partition or have Vista install disk.
