Push the mode button until you see h-s (hands set)
use the buttons at the right side to adjust when you are in that mode.

set time/datepush the pusher at 4:00 for couple second to start setting mode.pusher at 4:00 is to select time/date, pusher at 2:00 is to adjust time/date
2. if off sync between analog and digital clock happen. You need to resynstep 1: follow the instruction 1 to set digital clock to 12:00.step 2 : push and hold both pushers at 2:00 and 4:00 for couple second until it shows sync modestep 3: once it enter sync mode, you can use pushers at 2:00 and 4:00 to adjust the analog time to 12:00 same as digital.step 4: push the pusher at 3:00 to exit the sync mode. step 5: follow the instruction 1 to adjust digital time to correct time. Changing the date on a fossil watch- how do you do it?

Which Fossil do you own?

Analog Date Watch:
Date Setting
  1. Pull the crown out to position 2.
  2. Turn the crown either clockwise or counter-clockwise and set the date for the previous day. The direction that moves the date varies on different watch models.

Analog Automatic:
Time and Date Setting

  1. Pull crown out to position 2 and rotate clockwise to set time.
  2. Pull crown out to position 3; date will advance automatically. To set to required date, continue to rotate crown between positions 2 and 3.
  3. Push crown back to position 1.
Analog Digital:
Time and Calendar Setting

  1. Press and hold pusher A for 2 seconds to enter setting mode. Year will begin flashing.
  2. Press pusher A to select year, month, date, hour, minute, second, and then exit setting mode.
  3. Press pusher B to adjust digit.
  4. Press and hold pusher B to adjust digit automatically.
  5. If no pushers are operated for 30 seconds, setting will be returned to Normal Time Display.

These are the three most common Fossils. If yours isn't here please let me know which model you have and I'll get you the instructions.
Hope this helps.

Cant se time Citizen 8988-q02047 HSB wristwatch

In the time mode, press the upper right button for 2 seconds and the time display will flash. Then press the same button untill the entire time will flash, or both hour and minutes flash at same time. When the hour and minutes flash at same time, this adjust mode is the adjusting of the analog left display (A1). Now, press the lower button for adjusting de hour shown at the digital display that shows the same hour at analog display. This method is to adjusting the 8982 that is the "father" of 8988. Like a Citizen collector, and don´t know any website that you can view the setting instruction of 8988, only the 8982 is disposable here: http://www.citizenwatch.com/downloads/techguides/8982.pdf

Analog setting

The solution is in the user manual: pres "mode" six times, then press "adjust". The minute hand can only advance, by pressing "search", holding it pressed or pressing "light" and "search" at the same time. When you are satisfied with the settings, press "adjust" again to finish the procedure.
