I have the camera, but the software will not work with my vista operating system, also need new drivers

Your software is probably designed to run on Windows XP. If you are using a Vista or Win7 PC, your camera software might not run correctly. Try going to your camera web site, clicking on support, putting your model number (and perhaps serial number) in and download the correct driver for your operating system. Install the new driver by double-clicking on it and your camera should work.

Try this:

Uninstall the driver (if installed). Next, put in the driver CD and browse to the setup.exe file. Right click and select properties. In the box that opens, select compatibilty tab and select the box next to "runthis program in compatibilty mode for" and select XP SP2. and install the program



Should that not work, uninstall and retry the above process, but select Windows 98 or 2000 this time..Hopefully that will work.

If it still does not work, then unfortunately, you will either have to downgrade to XP (I believe the driver works for XP) or buy a new camera altogether..

All you need to do is open your Lenovo EZCapture software to utilize the camera. You can also use it by using a web chat software like the yahoo messenger software, skype software and the likes.

You can download the EZCapture software by clicking here for Windows 7 32Bit and 64 Bit if you can't locate the software on your machine.

You can enable the camera by pressing FN+ESC keys.

Doubt the software will work on Vista. If you do have the disk, before you click on the install program, right click it and use the "XP compatability" mode. I would dual boot to an XP partition to take care of all your XP needs. Its a bummer but that is what Im doing...

usually if you buy a camera, gadgets etc will bundled with a cd which is driver actually. if your operating system is vista, then you must make sure that the camera will work in that operating system. You can read it on the manual or etc or in the box. install the software in the cd first before you plug the camera into your pc. the software must be included with the appropriate driver.

The computer should not need any software. Take it out.
Plug the camera in
The Scanner/Camera Wizard will come up and ask what yopu want to do.
Let Windoze do the work
