Question about Polaroid FLM-3734B 37 in. LCD HDTV

1 Answer

Polaroid TV I have recently taken my tv off the wall mount and would like to put it back on the stand that it came with. One problem my ids have thrown out the screws to mount it back to the stand. I have been to Circuit city and they have no idea what size screws I need. Does anybody have any idea how to gauge the size? I want to put the stand back on the TV, but the screws are missing. Anyone know the size screw that is needed?

I found out via Polaroid's customer service... you need size M6 screws to reattach the base to the TV

My wife and I just moved. During the move we lost the four screws that mount the base stand to our Toshiba 40E220U TV. The owners manual doesn't give the size of the screws. What size screws do I need?

You are correct. Polaroid does not make the screws available. You will have to obtain locally, per Polaroid.

I think this aftermarket stand will work. The reviews mention a couple of people using this with heavier lcd/plasma screens with no problems. Hope this helps!

Picture remains for few seconds then screen goes blank, sound remains on

I had this problem on my 42" Philips LCD. Just got it yesterday and worked fine on the tv stand. As soon as I mounted the TV to the wall via wall mount system, I had the exact same issue you did. Figured it out today.

The wall mount was putting pressure against the center of the back of the tv (tv set had a slightly rounded back plate, and the mount was a flat plate). As soon as I put spacers (part of the wall mount hardware set) between the wall mount braket and the tv so there was no contact except at the mounting holes, the tv worked fine.

My theory is the pressure pushed the tv back plate against some board components which caused them to overheat (no air flow); or put pressure on internal connectors. I dont know.

Hope this helps, may not apply to your situation.

Need base for Insignia TV

It will either slide out from the front/back or to the side..Some actually bolt on from the bottom using screws/bolts.And then again some are not meant to be taken off.Make sure it is a wall mountable tv.Then try to take the stand off as directed.
