Question about Dewalt 18 Volt Compact Drill Kit
How do I change bits? I ve never used a keyless chuck b4-I tried holding the chuck and my wrist twisted a little, so I'must be doing something very wrong?
Hi this should be reletively easy hold the end black bit with the sivler bit holde coming out not the black bit next to the yellow case on drill you hold the black part thats at end of drill by where the bit goes into not the black bit near the trigger hope i explain this ok.
Hold this bit tight then put drill in reverse then press trigger a couple of times it might be tight but shouldnt be that tight it wont undo.
1 put in reverse
2 hold black plastic piece near where drill bit goes into
3 press trigger few times
4 this should undo it allowing you to put a bit in
make sure its in reverse else you will just tighten it up more let me know if you need further assistance ok

Keyless Single Sleeve Chuck
Your tool features a keyless chuck with one rotating sleeve for one-handed operation of the
chuck. To insert a drill bit or other accessory, follow these steps.
1. Lock the trigger in the OFF position as previously described.
2. Grasp the black sleeve of the chuck with one hand and use the other hand to secure the
tool. Rotate the sleeve counterclockwise far enough to accept the desired accessory.
3. Insert the accessory about 3/4" (19 mm) into the chuck and tighten securely by rotating the
chuck sleeve clockwise with one hand while holding the tool with the other. Your tool is
equipped with an automatic spindle lock mechanism. This allows you to open and close the
chuck with one hand.
