Question about Phones

1 Answer

None of my phones work. There was a power outage last night and the phones just make a blipping sound when I turn them on to dial. I have unplugged them and plugged them back in and they still are not working. What is the problem? Thanks.

Well its probably nothing wrong with your phones. because you lost power, your phone company could have too. If they are down and not working, then none of your phones would work. Just give it a little time and if its just too long, i would find a way to contact them and figure out what exactly is wrong.

Samsung iDCS 18D is not working- there's no dial tone or indicator lights on, and the display reads "ver v2.2 2003 4.30." We believe there was a power surge/outage last night. Thanks for your help!

If that's the only one, test it on another port. Then plug it back into the original port. That may fix it. If not, reset the system. If nothing works, you need to replace the phone.

Line in use

Hi this problem is more common than you think its caused by the power surge you get when the electric is turned back on you also get this problem due to lightning strike their is absolutely nothing you can do to repair the phone as their are no servicable parts and the chances of getting a new board for the base is going to be nigh on impossible

do not think night mode would cause your problem.
check dialing mode #120
TONE ?
When you unplugged the base unit did you pull out the ac adapter for about 30 seconds to reset the base unit ?

Constant beeping on IBM-412CD phone after power outage

If you have more than one phone, phones 2-n need to be assigned different codes from the first ... Since the default phone code is '11', assign them with '12', '13', etc. via 1012, 1013, etc.

Power outage messed up my phone

I am sure there is one to download but did not found anything with google... If search engines are of no help, just ask some deep web specialists, e.g. http://manualfox.com - if they don´t find it, it does not exist in the Internet.

Your memory battery on your telephone system is bad. when power is lost , so is the programming. to fix this , you must go into system programming. From any phone, without picking up the handset. Press #20 Dial 12341, Press #. Press # again and dial 62, Press Line 1 and then press the button of each stn you want to ring ,( The display will show 1 if you press stn 1 and so on.) program each line the same way.

Power outage last night. Deleted all saved voicemail messages. when turned on - machine says "no massages" How do I retrieve lost messages?

I'm sorry there isn't. Answering machines like this have very little ROM memory. After a powersurge and outage like last night, it wiped the whole memory chip. You can try there support page. It's actually pretty good. http://telephones.att.com/telephones_ui/support/index.cfm
