When the shower is turned on to hot setting the water just trickles out. When on cold or medium setting the water pressure is ok. The hotter you want the shower the more pressure it loses. Any ideas?

Sounds like the filter on the hot water inlet is blocked. Is this a new shower or one that has been in use for some time ? Also , what make?

Ok, sounds like the filter in the hot water supply is blocked. You need to isolate the water supplies, remove the shower valve ,turn on the hot water to see if you have full flow going into the shower valve. If the flow is ok then you need to remove the cartrige in the shower valve and check the internal filters. If they are clear you need to purchase a replacement cartridge from Gainsboro. Hope this helps. Derek.

Installed a new shower and have only cold water hooked up but only getting a trickle of water through it.

Lots of shower valves have pressure balancing cartridges nowadays in order to get full flow out of hot or cold you have to have both the hot and cold hooked up to give even pressure on both sides of the cartridge that should fix your problem and give you a full flow

Hot water pressure is weak. Shower head isn't clogged. Cold water pressure is good. How do I increase the hot water pressure?

Is the hot water pressure good at other fixtures in the house? I'm guessing your newer valves have a scolding adjustment that is set very low. Check the instructions that came with the valve assembly.

Triton caselona water temperature

Sorry to ask but are you gradually increasing the water temperature from cold to medium to hotter. Let it run a little while hot and cold mixes to give you your desired level. Also try cleaning the showerhead to remove any build ups (a maintenance issue).

When turning on the shower faucet there is no hot water.

Can you remove handle , behind handle there should be a dial to move to increase hot or cold supply.

Remember where you start and remove it and replace a 1/8 to 1/4 turn counter clockwise, just put handle on try it and see if it changes and adjust accordingly.

I believe I have a delta monitor shower faucet. I am wondering why the hot water pressure is less than the cold water pressure. Also, I am wondering what size hex head I need to remove the lever so I can...

It takes a 1/8" allen wrench to remove handle. To increase hot water flow remove plastic dial that sets temperature. It is right behind handle and slides off stem for easy adjustment.

Remove indicator and replace about 1/8 to 1/4 turn counter clock wise to increase to hotter temperature.

Very little cold water, lots of hot from kohler shower valve

Probably some pipe rust clogged the exit.
If u have pretty low pressure on one or both, hot and cold water, try keep force closed by hand the water exit at shower pipe, then start both cold and warm water gradually as much as u can keep it closed with the hand.
The pressure of the water will try "escape thru the clogged pipe and hopefully unlock that debris or rust!
The hot water pressure going back thru the cold water pipe might unclog that debris.
Just a simple fix which many times works as a charm..
Otherwise if this is not fixing, try close both water from main service valve.
Then unscrew the secondary shower valves and manually clean them or replace if very damaged.

pull the handle off and there is a black dial you can pull out and readjust on the shaft of the cartridge that will allow you to have cooler and hotter settings. it's black plastic and has little splines on it . the more you go one way the hotter it gets and the same the other way gets cooler

Hot water taps and showers pressure very low cold taps ok

there is a little cap on the hot and cold side above the shut off valves, turn the water off at these valve and take the caps off there are filters in there clean them off and reinstall them that should take care of the problem, you might want to flush the tank while your at it hook a hose to the hot side connector and run it out side or to a sump pump then turn on the cold water and flush it out you can also reverse this procedure by doing it on the cold side

Not enough hot water, has to do with a shower valve

Hello, first if any water supply hot or cold is turned off, you will experience trickling as you mention. You must have both cold and hot in order to adjust the temperature on your valve. if you had a plumber intall this unit you should ask him to adjust it. Otherwise here is how:
Rotate the handle counterclockwise to stop and let water run till cold water is purged, check
temperature. Rotate handle to off, remove handle parts (see Disassembly in your manual) and temperature limit stop, rotate clockwise to decrease and counterclockwise to increase maximum hot water temperature, reinstall temperature limit stop and handle (TIP: Do not screw handle in until desired maximum temperature is achieved) Repeat steps until desired maximum
temperature is achieved
