Iced up Samsung RS21 JGNS Help!!

Hi,I wonder if you can help me? I have a Samsung RS21 JGNS fridge/freezer just over 2 1/2 years old. I have had problems with it for a couple of months, The fridge side seems to ice up around the fan gradually over the week,it will stop cooling as the fan cant turn. After taking apart de-icing the fan and evaporator and making the drain hole by the fan a little larger .The same thing happens again after around 8 days I have replaced the defrost sensor as thought this may be the problem, but the same thing still happens,On looking online this seems to be quite a common problem, hope you can give me some advice to what tthe fault maybe?

Contact Samsung as they have extended the warranty to a limited 5 years to cover this fault.
Will send out an engineer to fit an upgrade,eg defrost heaters, sensors and evap cover.

Defrost the unit and after defrosting, with the unit unplug rotate the fan blade manually using your finger. The fan should rotate freely, the blade should not touch the fan frame. Slow rotation of fan motor can cause icing. Worn out bearing, misalign fan blade, partially burn fan motor can slow the rotation of blower motor. But if the blower operate normally, then the unit may be under charge of refrigerant. Qualified technician is needed with this problem.

Samsung twin cooling fridge/freezer model Rs21dcsv Fridge temp control led display digit flashing and fridge not at right tempreture

My husband removed the covers inside the fridge which contain the lights and the cooling fan. The problem was the icing up of the cooling fan (which circulates the cold air) preventing it from rotating also the drain hole at the bottom of the fan was also iced up.
The fridge was switched off at the wall socket whilst working on it. After removing the panel containing the fan and unplugging the connection take the panel outside. A hair dryer was used to thaw out the ice. The drain hole was made slightly bigger to hopefully prevent this happening again.
When panel is screwed back in fridge make sure the black sealing tape is in position also take care not to damage cooling pipes which are attached to the evaporator unit. Defrosting a couple of times a year might prevent this happening again. It seems to be a design problem which im sure the makers will be aware of and modify future appliances. Q Will the makers repair this problem free of charge even if the warranty has expired !?

Samsung refrigerator sr-l628ev ,refrigerator not working ,air mixing flow system notworking ,but freezer is working

I don't have a solution, but I have the same problem. Or rather I did until today when the freezer started defrosting itself too.

It sounds very similar to the RS21 problem that is on the watchdog website, but as my fridge/freezer is 8 years old I don't think they are going to give two hoots about repairing it foc.

RS21 DCNS FRIDGE COOLING FAULT

There is a fan behind the plastic. This distributes the cold air throughout the fridge. What happens is this fan stops turning due to freezing up. A temp solution is to unplug the samsung for 6-12 hours to allow the ice to melt from around the fan. This is a known design fault. It is easy to dismantle the plastic cover and defrost the frozen fan with a hair dryer, this way the fridge will only be off for about an hour
