Question about HP Deskjet F340 All-In-One Printer

Hp deskjet F340 all-in-one

I had to do a recovery on my hp computer, everything is working fine, except I can't get the printer to reinstal, The computer I've had since 10/06, the all-in-one I bought about 8 or 9 months ago. It worked fin until now. Through HP help I checked the hardware and it is fine, they had me uninstal software, and other things (I talked to them or went to chat help about 8 times, the first time I was on the phone for 2 1/2 hrs. Nothing has worked, I even downloaded the software&driver from their website and everytime I put in the disk it gets to a certain point and I get an error message that says can not find this file, with both disks, the file is an .exe file starting with hpz or something like that (I'm at work and don't have the notes in front of me) there were a bunch of other things with the .exe file like setup\hpz(whatever).exe. Got any ideas, HP doesn't seem to know either.

    Driver is not the problem, software has one built in to it.

    it's the .exe file is says it can't find. did download a driver last weekend, didn't help either.

    remove the whole printer and software, and try it again. sometimes , 'layering' the installation can cause this problem.

I lost the cd to download an HP deskjet F340

I have a F340-all-in-one. Will not scan


i would suggest to download the software from hp.com
for this printer.. and then try to install..
note : download the full feature software only..

Hi, i was wondering how to get my printer back online I have a hp deskjet f340


I would like a little more information but lets give this a try. Go to control panel and click on computer and faxes. Right click on printer you are useing and click use printer online. Hope this helps if not get back to me... Darren
