Automatics would usually run around $2000 r&r with a reman. Manuals are about the same. You may strike luck finding a smaller shop that specializes in transmissions and get a rebuild with warrenty for around $1500.

Throw the car away ,or trade it in on a renewal plan ,cost of repair is more than car is worth ,also parts not available from dealer only a complete exchange gearbox which with value added tax is around 3000 euros plus labour

If your`check engine light is on, have the codes read to find out what is causing your transmission problems, but yours seems to be a common problem, the usual symptoms of a failed speed sensor in the 00-03 maxima. Have it checked out.

Doesnt work in reverse, all it does is rev, whats wrong?

Assuming this is an automatic transmission, check the fluid level. There will be instructions in the owners manual on how to do it. If the fluid is not low it probably means the transmissions will have to be repaired. The engine needs to be fully warmed up before checking the level.

dear friend-i think what your car needs is conditioner to soften the seals and valve body,if this does not work you wil have to remove the valve body and clean.
