Remove the four screws from the bottom casing of the track ball. Carefully push the ball from the topside causing the case to come apart. Remove the ball and take an alcohol wipe and gently clean the area where the ball sits and the optical eye that the ball rest against...it looks like a little window that is on the side of the area in which the ball rest in. Put ball back in the recess and put case back together. Replace screws and you should be good to go!

How do I connect a microsoft wireless moblie mouse 3000 to my laptop?

Press the button on the back of the mouse to free the battery cover on top.

Remove the battery cover and put the supplied AA battery into the mouse.

Replace the battery cover.

Insert the wireless USB dongle into a USB port on the laptop or desktop computer.

Move the mouse and watch your computer screen.

Confirm that the mouse is connected by making the cursor move.

Hope this helps

My wireless mouse - cursor refuses to follow sometimes!

Try cleaning the lazer on bottom with a q tip with some rubbing alcohol on it. Check to make sure the reciever for the mouse isn't too close to any wireless router, phone,or microwave. In the control panel there are mouse settings you can play with too to see if that makes a difference. Re-install any software for the mouse.

My pc desktop is moving left & right with cursor of mouse

It sounds like you have zoomed in on your screen image, so your screen is showing you only a portion of your desktop. In this situation, you move to a different region of the screen using the mouse cursor, as you describe.
You can zoom back out by holding down the CONTROL key while rolling your mouse's scroll wheel (or scrolling with two fingers on the surface of an Apple Magic Mouse).

Suddenly the cursor moves back to a previous line and continues typing making a joke of what I'pingm typing (see it just did it)

make sure the mouse cursor is further down the page from where you are typing. If your text continues over the arrow of the cursor and any static electricity or touch is detected by the glide pad of a laptop or S.E. from a mouse it will move the text cursor to where the mouse cursor is.

This is a continual problem with sensitive computers.

sorry there is no permanent "FIX"
