Question about Washing Machines
Washing Machine is washing and rinsing clothes, but won't spin dry or drain water from machine. Its a top loader, LG Turbodrum 8kg, WT-R801.
Its your drain pump if you can hear it humming but no water is draining it is blocked or jammed by a foriegn object (most probably a 20 cent coin or bobby pin/s), if you can hear it working as normal but still no water it may have a blockage sumwhere along the drain pipe either that or the impellor has snapped off the shaft and is ratteling around and not actually turning, and with the spin that is directly related to yor drain pump issue as the washer will not even attempt to spin if water remains in the tub, incredibly easy to do hit me back if you want detailed instructions

I have the same washer, WT-R801. Does the machine stop all together when the spin cycle arrives?, if so check the pump on the drain. Mine was burnt out. Its available for $61.00 delivered from Adelaide. Steve.

wash the drain valve will be activated, the water is allowed to come in to
rinse and then finally the dry spin with the drain valve/pump activated so as
to drain off all the water from the clothes during the spin. check the output to the drain valve if absent the control board is a suspect, if not clean the drain pump;
that a fault in any of the cycle will relate to the specified action, so check
the command from the program module and then the executing device be it the
valve or motor or pump.
