Question about Sony KV-27S15 27" TV
I do not have the specs on your TV but this is standard on all TVs. Only different numbers. The Line or Flyback transistor is located next to the Flyback Transformer, usually mounted on a Big Heatsink. When removed and measured you should read a short between Base and Emitter on the Transistor itself. This is an internal Diode on the Package. Now make sure not to short anything when switching the TV on without the Transistor and then measure your Voltage on the board where the Transistor had been removed( between Base and Collector) 145V. You have an obvious error state on the unit. You may want to try and remove the Line Transistors to check for voltage first. In the region of 145V(between base and collector. If the set then stays in standby you may have a vertical error. Also check 5V rail to the processor and suspicious looking components like caps. Good Luck,JUS004
