Question about Microsoft Windows XP Professional for PC
I upgraded OS from Windows 98 to xp recently. The new OS is fine, except that the audio system is not working. It says either the hardware is nto responding or no audio drivers. I cant seem to find the Audio driver path.
I tried adding hardware but to no use. The Audio was working on 98 OS.
You could also try:
Do you have Service Pak 2 installed, it has a lot of updated drivers.
Remove all audio devices in the control panel > System > Hardware tab > Device Manager. Then reboot and let XP redetect the audio hardware.
Another idea is to run Windows Update and see if there's an update to the driver.
