a document comes from one user with full notes, the other comes from a user using Inotes. The supervisor can manipulate the full notes version of the document but the inotes version won't allow him to do anything with it. He does save to his pc to
    work with the document.

Unfortunately, it's not possible.
Lotus notes files are all .nsf and you will only be able to view them with a full client lotus notes installation.
There is no other software available that will read .nsf files.
You could save your archived files to a cd or flash drive, then find someone who has lotus notes and use their system to view your files. You need the full installation as you will not be able to use the web access version to view your old archives.

Open your Inbox, Select the mails you need to archive > Go to Actions menu on top and select Archive > Archive Selected documents. You should have an Archive Criteria created before doing this. To create a criteria, Go to Actions> Archive> Create Criteria and give a name and file path for the archive.

Lotus notes archives not appearing on the workspace

This problem tends to happen if something is wrong with your desktop.ndk (might be desktop7.ndk) document, you can find that in the notes folder or in the data subfolder, but you can search for it. Shut down lotus, rename the file, start lotus again. It will create a new desktop file. The backside is that you will loose all your bookmarks, but on the new desktop you can add the archives.

Let me know if it worked and rate my solutions pls
