Different versions of Access use and make different DBE's. Check the versions when using VB to access this database. Sometimes u have to load the proper drivers in VB to access this databases.

The only help you can get from if microsoft.
One thing you might try:
  • See in the centre of you CD (the plastic surface).
  • With a magnifying glass you can find that code.
Good Luck

Auto calculated field in Foxpro (2.6 prefered)

Code example:
// all fields are numeric type
USE example APPEND BLANK REPLACE field_a WITH 25, field_b WITH 4, field_sum WITH field_a + field_b, field_prod WITH field_a * field_b APPEND BLANK REPLACE field_a WITH 60, field_b WITH 5, field_sum WITH field_a + field_b, field_prod WITH field_a * field_b
Result: field_a field_b field_sum field_prod 25 4 29 100 60 5 65 300
Don't use keywords as field names (ex. SUM).

Web cam help

Do the following:
  1. Go to Google.com
  2. Select Language Services link
  3. Scroll down to Translate Page
  4. Enter this URL http://www.szyht.net/xlt/index.asp. This is the correct address for the h-unicom webpage (it's in their page source code, but is masked in a browser).
  5. Select Chinese >>> English as your translate mode
  6. Google will translate it to English for you and you can navigate from there to your specific camera's drivers.
  7. An alternative translation service is AltaVista.com's translation services. Try this if Googles' doesn't meet your needs, as they all have their pros and cons..
Good luck

Macro code for copying a range of cells from one Excell w/sheet t

You did not respond to my claification request. Here is some code that might help, it copies a selection of cells going down until an emty cell is found and across until an emty cell is found. This is form an earlier version of office but should comeclose to woring in 2007.

Sub copyrange()
'
' copyrange Macro
' Macro written by Royal 11/22/2008.
'

'save the return values
wksname = ActiveSheet.Name
returncell = ActiveCell.Address
searchfor = ActiveCell.Value

'go to first worksheet and find entered value (note this is a value serach)
Worksheets(1).Activate
findfor = "A1"
On Error Resume Next

findfor = Cells.Find(What:=searchfor, After:=ActiveCell, LookIn:=xlValues, LookAt:= _
xlWhole, SearchOrder:=xlByColumns, SearchDirection:=xlNext, MatchCase:= _
False).Address
If findfor = "A1" Then
erwks = ActiveSheet.Name
Sheets(wksname).Activate
er = MsgBox("Search item not found on Worksheet" + erwks, , "Search Error")
Exit Sub
Else
findfor.Activate
End If

Cells.FindNext(After:=ActiveCell).Activate

'save this address and start searching for copy area boundaries
begcell = ActiveCell.Address
begcl = ActiveCell.Cells.Column
begri = ActiveCell.Cells.Row
'search amaximum of 1000 rows and 676 columns
endri = begri + 1000
endcl = 26 * 26
maxrow = 0
maxcol = 0

For col = Cells.Column To endcl
If Cells(begri, col) = "" Then
maxcol = col
col = endcl
ri = endri
Else
ri = begri
End If
For ri = ri To (Cells.Row + 1000)
If Cells(ri, col) = "" Then
If ri > maxrow Then
maxrow = ri
End If
ri = endri
End If
Next ri
Next col

maxrow = maxrow - 1
maxcol = maxcol - 1

'copy the selected area
endcell = Cells(maxrow, maxcol).Address
crnge = begcell & ":" & endcell
Range(crnge).Select
Selection.Copy
'go back and paste it in
Sheets(wksname).Activate
Range(returncell).Select
' use this if yo want to paste formulas etc.
'ActiveSheet.Paste
' use this code if you want to paste values instead of formulas etc.
Selection.PasteSpecial Paste:=xlValues, Operation:=xlNone, SkipBlanks:= _
False, Transpose:=False
Range(returncell).Select

SQL Invalid cursor number 135 error

The error is being generated because you are trying to order on a value not in your selected fields e.g EFFECTIVE_DATE

You only have TRANSACTION_TYPE in your select statement

I got syntax error in tcl script as follows

You probably have an undefined reference, such as a variable or procedure name. Check for misspellings first.

You may be referencing an item out of scope, or not in your current namespace. Maybe you're calling a function from an external library which is not linked in.

If you want to post the offending code, maybe I can give you more details.

You can view and search the TCL manuals here:

Cmd.ExecuteNonQuery()
Con.Close()

Java.lang.NullPointerException

I believe the error should read "java.lang.NullPointerException"

This error simply means that whatever your application code is trying to get is not there- its a null. Its either out of range or does not exist at all.
