Connect the supplied AV cable to the television on a connection that has white and yellow inputs (for monoraul audio and cvbs), then on your television remote, select the associated input. wherever you plug this cable into, check for an input label - something like INn, VIDEOn, AVn (where n is the number) and then on the remote for the television should be a buttons that says something to the effect of INPUT, INPUT SELECT, A/V, AV SELECT, DEVICE, or SOURCE, etc. depending on your model. Once you select the correct input you should see your picture on-screen using the playback or review mode of the camera - the icon that is a quadrilateral w/ rounded corners that has a right-arrow in the center.

Hope this helps. Good luck.

Please let me know how to view the images from a D3000 dslr camera thro` a LCD TV having usb port

You can't. You can use the supplied video cable to connect the camera to a TV's video in connector to play videos and view images, but not the USB port. The USB is only to connect the camera to a computer.

How to view photos

To view them on the camera lcd screen, press the playback button (green arrow in a green box, 2nd button down to the right of the screen) and then scroll through them one by one using the left and right buttons on the thumb pad. If you press the up and down buttons the image will advance forward and back by ten pictures each time.

To view them on a tv, turn the camera off and connect the video cable supplied with the camera to your tv input terminal (yellow). Turn the camera on set the tv to display the input feed and then use the camera playback button as before.

To view them on a computer, you'll need to upload them to the computer first. The best way is to turn the camera off and remove the memory card, and then insert it into a memory card reader connected to your computer. The computer will then prompt you to upload and display the images.

View Live Images?

You can't view live images on the monitor; the D2X does not have a Live View capability. A suitable version of Nikon Camera Control Pro may allow you to connect the D2X to a computer.

When viewing images on TV the picture is vertically rolling.

Check the video setting in the set-up menu. It may be set to PAL if you are on the NTSC system, or vice versa. Also check the TV input to ensure your're on the correct channel.

Cannot view images on my sd card via computer

Try to remove the SD card from the camera and view the pictures. If you can still view the pictures it means that they are in the internal 8mb memory. If it is inth internal 8MB memory, you have to connect to a PC in order to transfer them.

Can I view my DiMAGE 5 images on a TV?

It is possible to view images in the camera on your television. This camera has a video-out terminal, which allows you to connect the camera to your television using the standard DiMAGE 5 Video Cable. The DiMAGE 5 can be set to either NTSC or PAL, depending on the broadcast system used.

How do I view and/or download the pictures taken with my digital camera my computer?

Once you have properly connected your camera to your computer (see FAQ #2 listed above), your computer will see your camera (connected and powered on) as a disk drive - most likely listed as "removable disk." Now that you know where to look to find the images, they can be viewed and/or downloaded in a variety of programs. Please visit our Learning Studio for specific step-by-step instructions (complete with examples and visuals) for further assistance in viewing/downloading images.
