Common skipping issues can be:

Scratched discs, recorded cd-r's on poor/cheap media, dirty laser lens, disc spin motor binding, laser asm. slide rails needing re-lubed. Of course defective components can cause it as well.

Open the slot by pressing the up-arrow button at the upper-left corner of the faceplate. The control panel will then slide down and the slot appears. Refer to page 11 of the manual.

I have Onkyo cd player DX7500 and when I play the cd skip constantly.

Try opening up the unit and cleaning the lens using a cotton swab and alcohol. The skipping is caused by the loss of the tracking information from the disc or the motor getting stuck. While the unit is open, clean the silver rail that the optics assembly rides on using a dry cotton swab. That should resolve the problem assuming that the optics are not starting to fail. These units can be adjusted a bit as well, but that requires an alignment CD as well as some test gear. Let us know how you make out.

JVC KD-G431 IN CAR CD PLAYER "000ZAAA" Error

I had the same problem. It started when I tried to play an MP3 track from a "Creative Zen Vision M" Media Player. The result was the same as you describe = Maddening. It was extremely annoying that the CD player did not work. I thought I had broken the equipment.

Then my wife read the product hand book , and noticed on page 2 http://jvcmobile.co.uk/documents/products/KD-G431%20Instructions.pdf it showed, where using a pen you can reset the equipment back to the original settings. I thought I might as well give a try. It worked = Fixed. Amazing. I was so relieved. Such an easy solution.

Give it a go. I reckon there is a good chance it will fix your problem, and you will also be very relieved. Just use a basic MP3 player in future. GOOD LUCK !!!
