Purchase XP with a valid license key.
Boot the cd by pressing a key for boot options. For example F9
Once CD boots, delete the partition and repartition.
Then installation will start and answer the questions.
It may also be helpful to go to acer website before you do this and download all the XP drivers and burn them to a CD.

Hay! my laptop is toshiba satellite A135 s4527 home vista. but i run my laptop with oprating system windows XP2. how it possible. please help me

Hello and welcome to fixya.

In your case, im assuming you refer to the "Vista sticker" that is on the laptop. If a computer is vista-compatible this doesn't mean that it is not able to run older Operating Systems (such as Windows XP SP2) as well.

The sticker on the laptop just referes to the type of Operating System that came pre-installed with it. Now if you bought the laptop and asked your salesman for a DOWNGRADE TO XP Operating System or if this is what he understood then it will probably come with Windows XP instead of Vista Home.

This also applies if you are working for a company in which case the company's IT Department will decide what type of Operating System is to be installed on this computer.

Overall: Newer computers/laptop models that support Windows Vista can also run Windows XP

ALSO: Check for the OEM sticker in the back of the laptop or bottom (it looks like THIS for XP or THIS for windows vista Home Premium). This determines whether you can use a vista DVD to upgrade your computer later from XP to Vista.

If you have any more questions just let me know.

Thanks

I am running windows xp at present. i want to run windows 2000 so i can also install google chrome in my computer. what will i do?

You don't need Windows 2000 to install Google Chrome. I am sure that Windows XP supports Google Chrome. Otherwise you will have to upgrade to either Windows Vista or Windows 7.

Installing xp on vista

I experienced that many many times, installed xp on vista based laptop is not a problem at all... I think it;s just an XP cd's, and it may absolutely contain virus...you can try another booting CD, or disabling antivirus at the bios first.

I have dell 1537 n and i cant install windows xp im dont understand how to change sata option on bios please explain that to me because im in dire need for that

For windows xp to be compatabe with laptops or desktops with sata drives you will need a driver that is written to a floppy disk and inserted during the windows install it will prompt you to hit F6 during the install early on for additional drivers.

I looked on dells' site's support page for your laptop and unfortunately they do not support XP for your model. Even if you installed it none of your video, chipset, webcam, or audio would run correclty. you only have vista and 64 bit vista as an option.

Now this isnt to say you cant their is ways to find and make srivers work, but thats a very hard and time consuming process.

How to install XP in toshiba Satellite L45-S7423 laptop

You can access Vista disk management (right click on computer from the Start Menu > Manage > Storage > Disk Management) and shrink your current partition and create a new one. Then install XP on that new partition. This is if you want a dual boot of both XP and Vista.

Operating system

first of all you will have to format your laptop cause when you have vista u cant install xp with it
u will have to install xp first and then install vista
about the driver u will have to do some settings in cmos setup and will have to change hdd type
that will solve your driver problem
so first install xp and then install vista
regarding drivers for xp u will have to visit hp website and chat with a online technical person and ask him to mail you the link for drivers for xp

Bluetooth not installing on WinXP

Hi,

I looks like Acer designed this Notebook for Windows Vista only.

Have you wiped Vista and installed XP instead? If so is there a particular reason, like an old piece of software not working with Vista?

I would be inclined to put Vista back on it. Vista is much better and safer than XP once you get used to it, Especially on a laptop.

If you really want to keep XP, try looking for an older Acer notebook with the same bluetooth adaptor that came with XP installed and see if the driver works from that, its a long shot though.
