The USB connects at the back of the printer. It's just above the long parallel port. If you look closely you'll see the image symbole of the USB marked into the gray plastic.

Thanks for using FixYa.
Kind regards...

Why won't Brother DCP 7020 Scanner connect to computer?

Try opening the Scan function from the computer and pull it from the MFP printer instead of being at the scanner trying to push it to the computer. Your Brother DCP 7020 would have to be on the same network and installed on the computer you are trying to use. Check your usb cable, Ethernet cable or if wireless - check the Wi-Fi connection settings (network name and correct passphrase).

Got vivitar 7020 what memory card fits this camera

The 7020 uses SD cards up to 2GB in size and SDHC cards up to 8GB in size. You can use any brand as long as you stick to the major ones. The speed won't matter to the camera, though a faster card might download faster if you use a card reader instead of the camera.

How do I reset the drum counter for my Brother DCP 7020 - I just installed a remanufactured drum, and the 'replace drum soon' warning still comes up

Look at your toner cartridge. There is a white stud that is attached to a gear. On a brand new cartridge, this white stud is in the opposite position of the one you currently have. Its been awhile since i've had my hands on one of these - just find a way to manipulate it so that it is in the opposite position again and toner count will reset.

I have a brother DCP-7020, I recently changed the Toner, and the printer still thinks the Toner is out, when it's brand new and full. I have restarted & disconnected the printer to no avail, any...

There seems to be a semi-magic routine to reset the toner counter on the DCP 7020. It is, I quote,

"Open the front cover.
Press options button.
Press the start button.
Press + or up arrow button 10 times.
Press set button.".

This ought to be done with a "pause" of 2-3 seconds (between keys, I'd think) to avoid the system resetting and having to start over.

SCANNING WITH A BROTHER DCP 7020

I cant find the machine DCP-7020 but I think this machine is the same with model MFC-7420 if you have the installer CD follow these steps:

For USB Interface Cable Users
For Mac OS® 9.1 to 9.2
& Software
1 Turn off and unplug the MFC from the AC outlet and disconnect it from your Macintosh, if you already connected an interface cable.
2 Turn on your Macintosh.
3 Insert the supplied CD-ROM for Macintosh into your CD-ROM drive.
4 Double-click the Start Here OS 9.1-9.2 icon to install the printer and scanner drivers. If
the language screen appears, select your language.
5 Click MFL-Pro Suite to install.
6 Follow the on-screen instructions, and restart your Macintosh.
7 Connect the USB interface cable to your Macintosh, and then connect it to the MFC.
DO NOT connect the MFC to a USB
port on a keyboard or a nonpowered
USB hub.
8 Plug in the power cord and turn on the MFC.
9 From the Apple menu, open the Chooser.
10 Click the Brother Laser icon.
On the right side of the Chooser, select the
MFC to which you want to print.
Close the Chooser.
The MFL-Pro Suite, Printer driver and Scanner driver have been installed.
To install Presto! PageManager, click the
11 Presto! PageManager icon and follow the on-screen instructions.
Presto! PageManager has been installed and the installation is now complete.
You can easily scan, share and organize photos and documents using Presto!PageManager.

DCP-7020 start up confusion!!

Yes, you can get the power cord and the USB cable from any electronics store. For the USB cable, get one that is an "A-B" cable, e.g. the cable with a square head on one end and a rectangular head on the other.

The power cable should be a standard 120v cable with male pins on one end (that go into the outlet) and female on the other (that go int othe printer. A used computer store would have lots of those they'll sell you for pretty cheap.

You will need drivers and software to use the printer. This normally comes on a CD, but you can also download it online.
