Question about Sharp AR-M237 Copier

1 Answer

Drum change Hello, I?m a student at a small university in the middle of no where. The drum on our Sharp AR-M237 needs replaced and there aren?t any companies that will work on it. The only one is Xerox, and they refused because it is not their brand. I am pretty handy with fixing things so I got nominated. I am sure I can ?figure it out? but I would rather do it right the first time and avoid getting straight F?s for breaking our only copier. Any help would be greatly appreciated. BTW, is it sometime possible to just clean the drum vs. replacement? If so, what is the best way to do this? Thank you very much! Comment by jman71, posted on Mar 04, 2008 Hi Andy, yes the print quality is very bad. Has pleanty of toner. Then dean mailordered a drum, so I have it ready to go. Just need to know the best way to swap it out. Thank you very much in advance :)

Thanks Sharpman! you instructions were very helpful, particularly the codes at the end...never would have figured those out. the drum was pretty easy once I figured out how it came out of the carrier. do you always replace the blade w/ the drum? I only had the drum so I tried to clean the crud off the blade. everything works great. THANKS 100%! :)

Ok first their will be a blue screw right aboive where the toner goes in unscrew this remove the dv unit open the left door slide the drum out on the front of the drum there is a plastic piece turn to release the drum then on the top of the drum their are two screw to remove the m/c unit slide it and remove it then two more screws to remove the drum blade. This machine takes ar-271 dr and ar270bl it will also need devlopor at the same time ar-271 dv.Then when done you will need to set the dv pound asrtic clear astric 25-02 start then counter need resetr in 24 5,6,7 and 10. Good luck this is not a job 4 a first timer.

It helps to have a small tool called a spring hook. Other than that it will function if you tape the cover closed.

I need to change the IP for my ar-m237

Try to increase the router range to include the ar-m237 or change the copier to a lower IP address within the range of the router.

Direct light can effect the copies. Your unit may also need developer as well. If the developer is low or gone out of the unit, light copies will appear as well.

How do I change the drum on a Sharp AR-M237?

Hi, i assume you have a drum to replace it with?. Can't really clean them as they are very sensitive. Why does it need changing, your copy quality is effected?. It is a faily straight forward procedure.
