you cannot start the camera without installation cd. for downloading the driver, go to download.com and in the search tab just enter the model no.
there you will get your software also with free of cost........... enjoy :-)
Please i lost my installation cd for my web camera soyntec VGA 640/480 web camera. The software usually loads it to my desk top with a TOPRO icon. Please can you help me send the setup to my E mail email@example.com as my system crashed and i had to reload it after i formatted it when it picked up some bad viruses. best regards segun

with my knowledge you have to install latest DirectX to install your Web cam. you can download latest DirectX Version at http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=2da43d38-db71-4c1b-bc6a-9b6652cd92a3&DisplayLang=en
i also have a it-104wc webcam and i lost my Driver cd. if you can send me windows xp driver to firstname.lastname@example.org
Here is the link to the software for your web cam. All you have to do is click on which operating system you are using, then click save the file and save it to your desktop so you know where it is. Then just run the software before you plug in the web cam. During the install it will tell you when the program wants you to plug in the camera.

The only advise I can give you is to contact HP phone support. 800-HP invent. They don't claim to have any webcam and their is not support for them on the website. I did a search of HP's website and all I found was Logitech webcams. Hopefully they can properly direct you. Sorry for the bad news.
