I have had my Bunn since 1999 and I have had no trouble whatsoever until today, it decided to become a steam roller and will not shut off at the reserve hot water well. I have to power off the switch each time I make a pot of coffee as the coffee making process still works.

It is most likely time to decalcify the machine. If you haven't made a regular practice of this, a cocoon of mineral deposits has encased the heating element causing it to struggle to warm the water adequately even as it overheats itself. If one or more decalcifications using white vinegar and the instructions in your owner's guide fail to improve the situation, the thermostat may be faulty. Contact BUNN for toll-free support:

if you have had enough of the problem junk it and get a new one
it will not be cost effective to repair any way

Which engine, 2.7L?? Is it full of coolant?? If the water pump has failed, it a pretty expensive repair.

It sounds like the thermostat or Element is failing and causing your unit to overheat and boil. Probably time to call Bunn and see if your unit is under warrenty.

open the pannel and chek the voltake is comming into the machine first.

Bunn vpr steams everything out fill hole and nothing comes through copper tube, even after cleaning tube and head.

Fill water tank until water comes out from sprayhead, THEN plug it in it should be OK.

IF the machine keeps blowing steam/keeps boiling the water, The thermostat is defective and must be replaced.

NOTE: If you don't use the machine for a couple days, UNPLUG IT. The water will evaporate if you don't unplug it.
