How is accurate the app to measure sound decibel in android?

Number of Sound measure apps are available in Google play and iTunes which are used to measure the level of sound. But these apps do not give the accurate result all the time. The reason behind the accuracy is that many apps uses the microphone of the mobile phones which have the limit of 80-90 db. and unable to measure the value which is greater than 90-100.

dB Meter is free app which provides professional-quality measurement results, calibrated using an actual Nor140 high-precision sound level meter. With dB Meter, you can measure ambient noise levels, save your measurements and their locations, and share your measurements with others.

dB Meter couples utility with stylish design and a polished user experience: a powerful tool in a sleek package, and at a tiny fraction of the cost of professional sound meters.

Light meter

The light meter in an SX-70 is not adjustable. If the film is overexposed either the film is bad or something is blocking the light meter eye. Look for dust or debris on the eye surface and clean.

Every image taken with my Samsung D1070 is overexposed.

Hi there:
Some symptoms of a defective CCD include distorted images or abnormal colors, scratchy purple lines, blank or black pictures, and/or black videos with good sound being recorded on the camera's flash card.

A CCD problem would explain the lines on your pictures and the lines on the LCD (since the CCD is used to feed the live image). CCD (Charge Coupled Device) is one of the two main types of image sensors used in digital cameras.

When a picture is taken, the CCD is struck by light coming through the camera's lens. Each of the thousands or millions of tiny pixels that make up the CCD convert this light into electrons. The number of electrons, usually described as the pixel's accumulated charge, is measured, then converted to a digital value. This last step occurs outside the CCD, in a camera component called an analog-to-digital converter.

In order to correct this issue, the repair facility needs to replace the CCD. This is not something you may do on your own; check this article for additional details:Bad CCDs. This, isn't a good new, but hope helps to solve it.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using FixYa, have a nice day.

Problem with Olympus Zuiko 14-45

Hey montenegro1,
What it sounds like is that the problem is not your lens at all it is the contrast of the scene you’re taking a picture of. The contrast between white and black in outdoor scenes is generally too high for either film or digital sensors to capture accurately. The reason your images are almost all white is probably that the camera is overexposing your images. The camera is metering of the dark areas in the scene and trying to expose the image so they are what is called middle gray which is exactly halfway between absolute black and absolute white. To fix this I would purposely underexpose my images by either setting a faster shutter speed than suggested by the cameras meter or a smaller aperture. To do this you are going to have to be in full manual mode unless your camera has exposure compensation. I hope this helps!

Sincerely,
Allan

Incorrect metering

it may be a problem with the camera, but you should be using the manual modes....they are much more accurate. if you are worried about it being a defect issue, then send it in.....

I have one also, and have found it to be a bit slow on the metering side on the pre-programed modes.....

What is the difference in metering among multi-segment, spot, and center-weighted?

Multi-segment metering uses 256 segments to measure luminance and color. This data is combined with distance information to calculate the camera exposure. This advanced metering system will accurate worry-free exposures in almost all situations including backlight condition. Spot metering uses a small circle area within the middle of image to calculate the exposure. The spot allows precise exposure measurements of a particular object without being influenced by extremely bright or dark areas within the scene. Center weighted measures light values over the entire image area with emphasis given in the central region. In backlight condition or when the subject is not in the center of image, exposure compensation will be required.
