Any hardware store should sell 3 core wire flex for cable replacement.
Make sure it is at least 2.5mm squared cable as this is for a heater.
You will probably need a new plug too, as the existing one is probably moulded.

Connections inside the heater may be crimped Ring terminals. These are available from auto shops, and must use crimp pliars to connect them.

Mark the heater connections before removing the wires, and make sure the earth wire is connected securely.

My dog chewed the end off of the power cord (it was not plugged in at the moment.) How can I get a replacement power cord?

You would have to take your vacuum cleaner to a place that repairs and fixes vacuum cleaners in order to have the power cord to be replaced.

After searching, a clear answer was found ... if the cord replacement exists, it costs a lot.
Flotec has a contact-us form that requires your personal information

That being said, flotec FPOS thermoplastic sump pumps have pdf parts list.
Parts list shows cord as replacement part.

However, I don't see the FPOS1800 listed

Dog chewed on the power cord, how do I replace it?

I would try to find a repair shop to replace it as bissell does not currently offer replacement power cords (atleast not on their website) if your power cord is only chewed in one place you could always just splice it back together and use some electrical tape. sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Dog chewed the electric plug

Your local appliance shop should be able to hook you up with a replacement cord. Slicing another cord onto the existing cord would nullify the UL listing for the appliance, void your homeowners policy, and would probably put you in line for a Darwin Award. In addition, beating a poor dumb animal with a power cord like the other guy suggested is just plain cruel.

Dog chewed cord on bissell model 6579-2 how do I replace it?

You can cut the bad section of wire out of the cord, cut the insulation on the cord to get to the wires. Match your colors, strip the insulation from the individual wires and twist together. Wrap each wire with electrical tape (making sure no wire is exposed, can be a fire hazard), then wrap the cord with electrical tape. The cord will be a little shorter, but should work fine.

My dog chewed through the power cord (luckily unplugged). Are there replacement parts available and I can't seem to find out to detach the cord from the unit.

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. There are replacement parts available for the replacement of the power cord and to check your owner’s manual to see the schematics of the replacement of the cord. You can check with your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or you can call cust serv @ Bissell @ the phone # listed below. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.
