Screen turned solid red, and tv shuts down . worked fine last night.

I have a Mitsubishi model WD-60737 and to make a long story short 1st time problem lamp replaced fine for a month til my uncle hooked a DVD player to my TV next day turned on with solid green light then TV kept turning off after 2 to 3 minutes of beingetting turned on and a solid red light to show after. What does that mean? It's a brand new lamp and worked for a month so why shut down now? Could my uncle have did something to where it shook up the circuits or something?

Turn off tv for few hours and then turn on..

REPLACE THE LAMP IT IS LOCATED IN THE BACK OF THE TV THERE ARE INSTRUCTIONS IN THE OWNERS MANUAL FOR REPLACEMENT IT IS CONSIDERED CUSTOMER REPLACEABLE ITEM.

Try checking your lamp door. I have seen a few of these that you need to really wrench that screw down. Let us know.

If there is no power at all, then the problem is likely the power supply unit.
The PSU must be tested, then eventually replaced.

After lamp replacement, TV worked 4 days and now TV gives 3 blinks error. right?
If yes, please recheck lamp door / cover and fix it properly.

Replace diodes 6301,6116,6117. on G board.Diodes will sometimes read good but break down when under load.

Shorted hori output transistor and bad 1200pf 2k volt capacitor.

same frustrating symptoms on brand new 42inch here! tv just turns itself off sometimes without warning or if changing to certain channels. leaves red light flashing for a while then red light goes away. any attempts with remote gives flashing green liht on tv. manual power off and on restarts tv but auto off again. found while manual power on keep changing channel on remote till stable picture appears. then use remote to shut down tv - solid red light indicates standby mode. then use remote to turn on again... till next time it happens. but what is technical fault??
