Question about Canon FaxPhone L75 Plain Paper Laser

Activity memory only has current day instead of

Hi,

Need to re-print document rec'd about a month prior. According to manuals, mem holds 0-4999 for Transmits and 5000-9999 for Rec'vs for reprinting and then rolls over. If I print Activity report, it only shows current day T & R (about 20 faxes) instead of what I would expect to be pages and pages of activity representing at least a couple months of faxes. Supposedly, you can then reprint any doc by its doc number after printing the "table of contents" activity list.

I have several of these in my enterprise and they all exhibit same behavior.
I'm even willing to consider unorthodox means (attach to PC via USB and hack into memory) if anyone can provide instructions.

Thanks

I faxed something last week and lost the transmisson verification report, can it be re-printed? does my fax keep it in memory?

It's possible to print a Fax Activity report which would show both incoming and outgoing fax activity. To do this, do the following:
  1. Press Reports
  2. Use arrow keys < > to select 3. Fax Activity
  3. Press Set
If Fax Activity hasn't been set up, do the following:

Setting the Fax Activity Report Interval
You can set the machine to print activity reports at specific intervals (EVERY 50 FAXES, 6, 12, 24 hours, 2 or 7 days). If you set the interval to OFF, you can print the report by following the Steps in the next page.

  1. Press Menu, 2, 4, 2.
  2. Press or to choose an interval,
    and then press Set.
(If you choose 7 days, the LCD prompts you to choose a day at which to begin
    the 7-day countdown.)
I hope this enables you to recover your transmission report. Please post back with any questions or just to rate the solution. Thank you very much.

My Sharp UX-355L Fax machine printed unwanted information

Sounds like you have the machine set up to print reports on all occasions, fax transmission, error, etc. You can change this by doing the following:
1 Press these keys:
The display will show:
4
FUNCTION
TRANSACTION LIST
2 Press a number from 1 to 5 to select
the condition for printing.
ALWAYS PRINT A report will be printed after each
transmission, reception, or error.
ERR/TIMER/MEM A report will be printed after an error,
timer operation, or memory operation.
SEND ONLY A report will be printed after each
transmission.
NEVER PRINT A report will never be printed.
ERROR ONLY A report will be printed only when an
error occurs.
To print from memory:
If the memory becomes full...
If the memory becomes full while the document is being scanned,
MEMORY IS FULL will appear in the display.
♦ Press the START/MEMORY key if you want to transmit the pages
which have been stored up to that point in memory. The remaining
pages will be ejected from the feeder. After transmission, the memory
will be cleared and you can transmit the remaining pages. You
will also need to transmit the page which was being scanned when
the memory filled up.
♦ Press the STOP key if you want to cancel the entire transmission.

Hope this helps. : )
