I'm at my wit's end!!! When embroidering, I keep having problems with the upper thread making loops under the stabilizer...it looks just awful When you are looking at the underside of garment. I always practice the design on a scrap before starting on a garment, and even after adjusting tension on the left side of the machine, and getting a good practice, I start sewing the design, and then it starts messing up again. Is there another place to adjust tension besides the left side of the machine?
I also am having problems with jamming under the feed of the needle (I don't know what else to call it) and then the entire thing just shuts down.
Sounds like the bobbin tension is loose. Look at this website on their "repair" page where it explains how to adjust the bottom(bobbin) tension. www.sewusa.com

another thing to check is the needle size and type. if the problem is only when embroidering. Different tthreads used in embroidering ( metalics for example) need a larger eye. thus the need for a metalic needle. make sure that the bobbin turns the correct way in the case(most times clockwise when holdin in your hand. if the top thread is looping then tighten the top thread.

You may also have dust under the shuttle it will cause the lower bobbin to not let out the right amount of thread and cause loops and thread jams where the needle goes down in the feeddogs.
Hope that helps
