Question about Proview PRO576 15 in. Flat Panel LCD Monitor

Proview PRO576 error message "mode not supported" and will show nothing else

The computer was on and working well but was idle for a time - then I noticed the monitor error box saying" Mode not supported" . I rebooted with computer button but it would not even show the screens during the booting process - it was black during this time except a couple of times it quickly flashed on (too fast to see anything but could tell it was white letters).

Hooked up a different monitor and it would boot up although it was a very old monitor and showed me double split screen images. Can the Proview problem be corrected or has it gone out completely? It is 4 1/2 years old.

Now I am experienceing a long delay in getting a picture on the screen. Sometimes I have to turn it off and back on to get a picture??? i don't know what is wrong.

Okay, we got a fix by having another monitor hooked up to our computer and going in to display and changing the display settings to a lower setting. The screen resolution - turn it to lower - I guess somehow - the setting was too high for our monitor. Don't know how it changed itself though. Anyway, change it to a lower resolution then re-hook up your monitor and see if it works. The reslution can be pushed back up until you notice the problem again.

I suspect your Computers Display settings need adjustments and or a Driver from Proview installed...therefor if you can get on the net, I would look at FAQ's on Proviews Website, i.e:

hope that helps,

No shutter release

It turns out that supporting the camera while taking a shot can impart a slight twist on the seated lens. This twist is just enough to cause the camera to think that there is no lens installed .. hence the error message. Solution (provided my Henry's Camera experts) was to reseat the lens by reversing the twist. It has since happenned twice and each time recovery was effective .... Keith

Olevia Monitor

Restart your computer and tap the F8 key until you get the Windows Advanced Options Screen. Use the arrow keys on your keyboard highlight Enable VGA Mode (Low Resolution Mode for Vista). Press Enter. Then Enter again.
Windows will boot up in a low resolution which will make things look large. Raise your resolution to a normal level in Windows' Display Properties (in the Control Panel)
The next time you restart the computer, it will boot normally.

Hi

How have you connected the monitor to the computer?
Is it through the vga or the dvi port?
Pls press the monitor menu button and change the mode to vga or dvi depending on the connection that you have now.
You might also get a vga to dvi adapter and connect the monitor to the computer.
