I did assign manually a static IP. I can see the printer server on the network, but the print server utility reports it offline (I can see it using the printer server web interface), my windows driver reports it online.

Windows XP SP2 with . Seems to be a possible incompability between certain ACL printers and the printer server. If I connect a simpler printer, I am able to print, like a HP inkjet officejet 4100.

If you're able to see the printer through the print the internal web server, you should be able to ping it as well.

What is the OS on your computer?

The following link has a guide available for download -- http://trendnet.com/downloads/list_subca...

Pg. 49 describes how to setup TCP/IP printing in Win XP.

If this doesn't work, check that you have the right driver installed for the print server as well as the firmware for the print server is up to date.

Error 49.33.03

First turn off the printer and then delete the job held at the computer in the print queue. Then turn the printer back on. The error should go away. Try printing the document again to see if the error returns. Normally a corrupt print job causes this issue. If the error appears with no jobs being sent to the printer then the formatter board is most likely bad.

HP LaserJet 1022 is a "host-based" printer so it must be connected to a PC. Load the driver on PC first and connect the USB cable when software tells you to do so.

Will not work on a Linksys print server.

LaserJet 1022N & LaserJet 1022NW have "special" HP print servers that can support HP host based printers.

Using HP Laserjet P1006. Is it compatible with DP-301U

Yes. I just got mine working last night. Key is to enable print services for windows through the control panel. Without that LPR printing does not work.

Emulex NetJet Print Server Problem

The standard port settings used when setting up a Printer Port is Port 9100 (TCP) when normally communicating with the Jet direct / LaserJet 4 plus printer.

However when using the Emulex Card it s default is Port 2501 (UDP). So within XP change the Port setting to 2501 and it then will communicate correctly.

Print server won't work with 2 printers of same model??????

Hi Pirate!
Can your remotely acces the two printer servers? If they are located by name, on the network, make sure it is not the same on both, like a default name. If it is possible, connect to one, disconnecting the second one, and see if it has a fixed IP, Like 192.168.x.xxx. Change it off the default, or use use the DHCP option, if it is has it.
I was working with some Intel print servers, long ago, that used software on each PC to locate the printer servers. Since the both had the same name, and they conflicted.

Good Luck.

Have you installed the new drivers for your HP?

Personally, on all HP Printers, I use only HP products, mainly Jetdirect Print Servers, but you might try creating a TCP Port Printer (via your Printer Install Wizard) and use that. You only need to know the IPAddress of the DLink and the Drivers for the HP Printer.
