Problem for Trendware TRENDnet TE100-P1U Print Server

LaserJet 1600 offline status

After trying mostly everything, my HP Color Laserjet 1600 have the offline status in the printer server, but online in the printer display. I can't print to it. What can I do?

- I did assign manually a static IP. I can see the printer server on the network, but the print server utility reports it offline (I can see it using the printer server web interface), my windows driver reports it online.

- Windows XP SP2 with . Seems to be a possible incompability between certain ACL printers and the printer server. If I connect a simpler printer, I am able to print, like a HP inkjet officejet 4100.

Is the print server being assigned a IP address in your network?

- If you're able to see the printer through the print the internal web server, you should be able to ping it as well.

What is the OS on your computer?

Pg. 49 describes how to setup TCP/IP printing in Win XP.

If this doesn't work, check that you have the right driver installed for the print server as well as the firmware for the print server is up to date.
