Question about Washing Machines
Our washer is spinning very slowly on its final spin cycle, although the fast spin cycle is selected. The result is that clothes are soaking wet when the cycle is complete.
I think that my front loader is the 40412 model, but am not definite. It has a similar problem as a previous post, but it sometimes will spin out a load at the end of the cycle and then other times it doesn't. It drains the water just fine it just won't reach its top speed at different times with the same exact load.
I have exactky the same problem Replaced the drum and now it will not final spin, I touched nothing else. Can't figure what could be wrong, speed board too sensitive?
It worked fine before the bearing went.

I recently replaced the drum assembly because of the common broken spider problem associated with this Frigidaire Front Loading washing machine. Initially it spun no problem, but after a few loads it started to just rotate back and forth when it should have been spinning. We noticed a humming from the door lock but couldn't figure out the problem. I read about connections being a potential problem and put that together with the door lock hum and decided to check the wire harness connections at the door lock. I just pushed them in tighter, (note: I DISCONNECTED the machine before touching them - 120V can more than hurt!) then restarted the machine and VOILA - it spun!

Hey friend, thanks for your post!
I see that your Frigidaire washer will not spin on the final cycle. You could be having an issue with your motor or control panel. It is possible that the control panel is not sending the required information to your motor in order to process the spin cycle. Or it could be that the motor is not receiving the signal from your control panel to spin.
I would recommend performing a reset on your appliance which you can do by unplugging the power cord or flipping the circuit breaker for ten minutes. I hope this information is helpful. -Matt

Hey friend, thank you for your post!
I see that your Frigidaire washer, FWT449GFS2 is not entering the final high spin cycle. It is possible that you could have a defective motor or timer. Since it could be any one of these underlying issues I would recommend you having a professional come out to the home for the repair of your washer. -Matt
