I recently purchased the phone off of Ebay. Try to play music and a no application error pops up and then nothing else happens. Also if I try to access anything through Get it now I get the connecting screen and then it just stays at a blank screen and there are no options to choose from. This is the second phone I have recieved and no one seems to know how to fix this. Thank you for your time
Unfortunately, it sounds like you were ripped off. That phone is missing several applications that it would need in order to work properly. The best solution is to take it to a cell phone store (I recommend Verizon) and ask them if they can reinstall the software for you.

If this is the original player that came with phone, then try powering down and removing the battery for about 20 seconds, then repowering. Phone may have gotten into a weird state.
If you are trying to load the player by clicking on the music file, the file may not be in a compatible format with Nokia's music play. If the file extension is not .mp3 or.wma(windows media player), then this may be the problem. I am not sure it will even play a .wma music file. Check manual, downloadable from net. Open music player directly by selecting it off Main Menu, then look in Options or Help fine in Music Player application.
Barring this, google on the net to find out how to Hard Reset your phone in order to reset it back to original mfg settings. The player file may have gotten corrupted. Note you will loose any files or applications you added to the phone since you received it.
If it is a Symbian OS phone, then you can reload the player application over a USB connection after downloading in to your PC, or find a Symbian third party player, often better than original player and will always play more sound file types.
Your VX8300 can only play .wma files .. so if there's any .mp3 on there it's going to say that. Also, if you recently put on new files try taking them off then trying the card again .. .if that works then one of your new files are corrupt/unreadable
Another thing to try: goto: Get it now .. music n tones....my music ...songs ...options...reinitialize library database. ( Be warned, you may lose some files this way so make sure everything is backed up on your PC)
I also had this problem and thought my music players were broken. The media players displayed the songs as 00:00:00 even when the file info read that it took up space and had a song length. The music player displayed that m506 error message.
I looked through forms for an answer, and I noticed I didn't try messing with one thing: THE BATTERY.
Try taking the battery out of your phone and putting it back in. It worked for me! My music players work again!
