Question about Philips Garbo Multimedia Projector
My Philips Garbo Matchline is about four years old. After being switched off for the past six months, it is no longer possible to select Mirror mode from the Picture menu. (We need to do this to invert the projected image, since the projector is ceiling mounted and thus upside down).
This worked fine for the first three years of the projector's life. Not any more, however.
Using either the remote or front panel buttons, I enter the menu, cursor down through the Picture Menu options until I reach Mirror at the bottom of the second page. This reveals a set of four sub-options: AB / BA / BV / VB [approximately], representing the four ways of orienting the display.
When I try to move the current selection from the default AB, the entire menu rotates so that the AB option moves with the cursor. The new menu then looks like this:
VB / [AB] / BA / BV
and [AB] is still selected, even though the cursor is now on the second item on the line. Moving the cursor right does the same again (rotates entire menu, without changing the actual selection).
This is quite bizarre. I've tried resetting to factory defaults, making the change both with and without video sources connected, using alternate buttons on the remote while in the menu, and (of course), Philips technical support. Nobody has anything to suggest.
The projector works perfectly in all other respects, and in particular, other menu options can be selected correctly with no strange effects.

SOURCE: Unable to exit TV's menu
Try to replace the remote sensor board inside the bottom of your tv. If that won't work, you need to replace the Small Signal Board (SSD Assy) of your tv.

Had the same problem and found on the back of the tv on the black box that the cable hooks to there is a plug at the top of that box on the left side came loose. If you slide that box to the right you can completely remove it from the tv. Reinstall it and make sure it's plugged in tight your tv setting should come back.
