Polaroid Problems I have a Polaroid OneStep SE AutoFocus camera, it uses 600 film. When I open up the top, the green light on the back comes on and you can hear the camera warming up (that little high-pitched noise), the film loads ok, it spits out the black cover thing like it's supposed to, but when you go to push the trigger to take a picture, nothing happens. You just hear a click from inside the camera, but no flash, no picture shoots out. The green light stays lit the whole time, but no results. I've looked at the front of the camera while pushing the button, but the shutter isn't opening/closing. http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=2m7djck&s=3

I have a one Step camera which uses 600 film. The light on my flash doesn't come on. Where is the battery compartment located.

I have a one600 ultra and just pulled it out of the box after over a
year. When I hit the open button, the green shutter light just keeps
blinking. It shows me I have 10 negatives left, but when I click on the
shutter button, nothing happens. I thought maybe it's the battery, but
the batter is loaded with the film pack. I tried to remove the film,
but it won't let me. I think the camera might be dead. Anyone have the
    same problemo?

I have the exact same problem! I have a polaroid 600 and I loaded thefilm, the counter went up to 10 and the green light came on. The first black-cardboard type "polaroid" spit out and when I go to hit the shutter release nothing happens! Total bummer! Does anyone know how to fix this?

Either your camera is broken or those film packs you used have gone bad. I hope it's the later case which can be fixed by using a different film pack. Impossible Project makes new film packs for Polaroid 600 series so better use those than old expired Polaroid film packs.

So I know how to use the camera just not the lighting switches I tried youtube but they are all pathetic the model is a onestep SE autofocus 600 polaroid! Thanks

Here's how to find out. Flick the switch one way, and with the camera sitting in one spot, take a photo, now flick the switch the other way without moving the camera, and take another photo. The darker one is for bright light, the lighter photo however, is for low light. I hope that helps

My daughter bought a Polaroid One Step camera at a yard sale, but the battery is dead. Is there a way to change the battery?

Polaroid OneStep cameras have the battery built-in to the film back. If you are using Polaroid 600 film, simply change the film cartridge.

I got a Polaroid OneStep 600 Flash Close-Up, it looks like it's never been used. How do I know what film it will take, and where can I buy it?

Polaroid Stopped making the film about 2 years ago. You can still find some film out of New York and Amazon, some reviews are good, some are saying the filme is not good or out of date. Find a reputable dealer. New polaoid or a new "polaroid" product may be coming out sometime soon, see http://www.the-impossible-project.com/

Could a the trigger problem make it so that it cant take a photo?

Yes, The trigger closes a switch. If it didn't return the switch may still be closed, preventing further use.

Taking the picture

The green ligth means the flash is charged, but it should come out by itself almost as you shoot. There's probably no energy in the battery pack (includded in the film cartridge.)

Polaroid One Step Camera

whitehall-bo,
give it a try, the batteries come with the film,so if it was stored high & dry it's probably good. polaroid pack should still be around. they stopped making polaroid camera's and film.

Polaroid one step close-up

you'll need to get into the guts of the camera and see if the shutter release is jammed. pressing the button closes a switch that advances the print motor and a cam that stops the motor when one print goes through the rollers.
