White noise installed tuner card and it worked! Problem is Everytime I start up the computer, I can hear the tv faintley through the speakers along with a lot of white noise. The only way I can stop the noise is by starting up the tv and then shutting it down. Then everything wrks great but I shouldn't have to do that. What's wrong?

1 Installing TV tuner card driver first
2 installing tv tuner card your computer
3 restarting system then update drvers OK

Does this noise happen on all inputs? such as tv, cable, vcr, dvd player or just some of them. By letting me know, we can further figure out this problem, thanks

The package contains an audio cable, connect the cable audio out from card to audio in of computer and connect the speakers at the same place where it is,
or you can directly get audio from tv card by connecting speakers to audio out connectors.

First step is that you have to install the Philips TV Tuner Driver that suits for your PC Operating System.
Second step, Install the TV Tuner application that came along with CD driver when you bought the TV Tuner, connect TV antenna into TV Tuner, Run the Application, search for TV channel, autosearch will automatically save the channel. All features including recording the TV programs and save them into the harddrive is on the TV Tuner Application features and good luck

A tv tuner card is a device usually inserted into a computer screen or tower. this device has a "Coaxial Cable" jack in the back so that "Cable" can be hooked into the monitor. Along with this most come with an input selector. this enables you to switch between tv and computer with the push of a button.

and btw i have one and love it! it came in my monitor and i didnt think of it much till my TV went out on me. after hooking up the coaxial i havent gone without for a while :)

PS ive got built in speakers in my monitor. when i turn cable on it comes through them. the nice thing is my USB headset stays sending sound from my PC (so if im running a scan ill heard the BEEP at the end and know its done :)

I believe your asking on how you can use the USB function of the ED8000 to your pc. If that's the case, yes you can use the USB function but not the way you use it on regular TV where you can see the video and hear the music. First of all, the USB Function of ED8000 is design only for UPLOADING your recorded songs to pc (you must have a recording chip for upload) and NOT DOWNLOADING songs to your mic.

If you want to use ED8000 to your PC like you use it in TV, you must have a TV TUNER CARD installed in your PC. The TV TUNER CARD has a RCA input like in TV where you connect the yellow, red, white jacks of ED8000 cord.

its is due to the older tv tuner card drivers doesnot supports for windows mediacentre try to update driver if not change for new tv tuner card which supports mediacentre.

MY SAA7130 TV TUNER CARD IS NOT OUTPUT NORMAL CA LOUR IT SO ONLY BLACK AND WHITE CA LOUR ONLY PLZ SOLVE MY PRB.

the red and white x indicates that your speaker is in mute mode. you just have to click that speaker icon and uncheck the mute. then you'll hear a music thats for sure.
