I just received this camera and was wondering something. You know the button you click too view the pictures after you take the pictures? I'm not talking about the power button. I am talking about the button with the arrow like inside a square. I am wondering if any of you have noticed this. I clicked it a second time and it turns on the camera. I thought by clicking it a second time, it would allow the screen too go blank, meaning I am done previewing the pictures. Instead, as I said, it turns on the camera when you click it a second time. I am wondering if this happens too anyone else?

Same problem here....anyone have any luck with getting a new camera or getting theirs fixed by Polaroid??? I also don't have a receipt. Camera was a gift for Christmas.

my camera does the same thing.the camera beeps three times and turns off,then the lens got stuck out and is slanted.lucky i still have the reciept and box it came in.only had this camera 2 months .happend on week of my daughters graduation.i think polaroid should recall and assist people with this known problem and replace these cameras or refund at purchase price. this is unacceptable for the average consumer.

polaroid i834 lens stays out, try to turn on, beeps 3 times, screen turns on for a second then shuts down. new batteries used nothing works!! How do you fix it, I know it has to be something simple.

In addition, I noticed if I have the camera on preview picture mode, if I click the scn button, it turns on the camera fully, meaning the lens will come out and the camera will turn on as if I did it normally when pressing the regular power on button. Does this happen too anyone else?

I have the exact same problem. The lens is out and it beeps three times. The lens got stuck when i turned it on and now It's slanted and wont budge. I got this camera for christmas and have had battery problems with it before.

my polaroid camera beeps 3 times ,shows the opening screen,and turns off! i just got the camera for christmas. i got new batteries to but in it,for my bday party,and it would not turn on.the lense will also not go back in! i have tried pressing every button! when i take the memory card out,it shows the first picture i took with my camera,beeps,and turns off.

Same problem! And I can't find the receipt. I just got it at Christmas.
Looks like 6 months is all this camera is good for =0(

Same issue, no 3 beeps. Turn camera on, lens pops in, then returns to the out position and powers down.
I can attach the USB Cable and get some control of the device, but as soon as I return to normal, the isse reappears.

Having the same problem as some others. My daughter was using the video feature of her Polaroid i834 which we knew would drain the battery quickly. It stopped and shut off when the lens was out. We took the batteries and left them out for a few minutes and put them back in. It turned on and within a couple of seconds made the 3 beeps (sounds similar to our smoke detector, but much quieter) and turned off. We recharged batteries and it is doing the same thing. It is very frustrating when a product stops working right in less than 6 months!

i have the same problem with shutting off imidatly
it started when batteries went dead and lens is still out.
installed new batterys and lens wont retract and beeps 3 times and shuts off.
