Question about Ulead Videostudio 8 for PC

EasyCap Video Adapter audio problem

EasyCap has worked great on my computer. But I cut clips for my Pocket PC. The audio is messed up, it sounds like R2D2 from Star Wars. The same file on my computer sounds fine. I opened the file in Windows movie maker and saved it for Pocket PC with the same results, the file worked on my computer only. My Pocket PC has Windows Mobil 2002, with Media Player 9. Dave

I have EasyCap Video Adapter with a DVD player connected. DVDs play with perfect picture but no sound. Any ideas?

With my VCR hooked up to easycap the audio does not come through the speakers but the computer is recording it. After you save the video the sound will be there.

best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: Audio in EasyCap/VS10

I had exactly the same problem and solved it by updating the drivers for the USB sound/audio device.

My XP version is in Swedish so I´m not sure what it says in English, but it should say something like the following.

Go to the "Device manager" by right clicking on "This computer" and choosing "Properties", locate the "USB sound/audio device" under the "Sound, Video and Game"-category and right click and chose "Update drivers". Then chose "Search for drivers on the internet" and chose "Recommended installation".
My new drivers are called "USB EMP Audio Device". They work perfectly.

I wasn´t able to update the actual EasyCap video adapter, but it doesn´t seem to matter if you´re having problems with the sound. Although I can´t use an S-videocable, only a videocable, otherwise the picture turns black and white.

Hope this helps!

MAKE SHURE TV SYSTEM IS THE ONE IN YOUR COUNTRY 9.CLICK OK.10.A BLUE SCREEN APPEARED AND WHEN I PUSHED THE PLAY BUTTON ON THE DV CAMCORDER I COULD CAPTURE THE VIDEOIMAGE ON THE LEFT SIDE.
WHEN I INSTALLED THE ULEAD PROGRAM I DID SELECT THE TV SYSTEM IN MY COUNTRY(PAL) BUT WHEN I DID STEP. 7, I SAW IT WAS (NTSC).JUST FOLLOW THE STEPS.GOOD LUCK.I SOLVED MY PROBLEM IN 6 HOURS :p

SOURCE: EasyCAP Video Adapter with no video

Ok, here is what is going on. The default video setting in control panel> scanners and cameras> syntek 1160 is pal-b it should be NTSC_M. Right click on the Syntek 1160 and click Video Decoder Property. Change it to NTSC_M from Pal. Do this with the unit plugged in or it wont be displayed in the Scanners/Cameras options box. Right away the signal line should rear 1 from 0 with video hooked up. Keeping that setting to stay is my issue right now. I was so excited to figure it out, I had to post. I was about ready to throw the unit away. Its a program driver error. Hope this helps!!!

Windows7 64bit & EasyCap directions

In my experience with the Easycap software the quality of sound & vision is very poor. My recommendation is as follows:
1) Use windows movie maker instead to capture video.Use the 2M byte/sec capture rate. Make sure the box for "make video clips" is NOT selected - you probably don't want your vid chopped into little bits.
2) In my experience USB audio is rubbish on these devices, so instead connect your PC or laptop audio LINE IN to your sound source. Don't forget to set sound source in RECORDING section of Control Panel Sound devices to Line In instead of your Easycap (which the Easycap drivers would have preset it to by default).
Good Luck.
